We are particularly proud to introduce to you the specialist watchmaking house Pequignet, which has honoured HUBERT AGENCY by appointing us to help it to become better known and thereby to develop its business in the Nordic countries.
Pequignet has three features which distinguish it in the world of watchmaking:
First, it is a French watchmaker, which is a rare enough phenomenon to warrant special mention.
Secondly Pequignet has managed over the years to retain its independence in the face of pressure from the large groups which dominate the market.
Finally Pequignet has developed its own movement, the ‘Calibre Royal’. This movement, which required no less than 8 international patents and took 3 years to develop, unites all elements on one sole plate.
Today Pequignet employs some 15 people and incorporates:
. 2 Production workshops,
. a Research & Development department,
. Quality Control
. An After Sales Service Team
. In addition to its Sales & Marketing Administration

THE MANUFACTURE'S VISIT
When HUBERT AGENCY is considering taking on a new partner, we are looking for satisfaction that any future partner shares our values. To this end we devote considerable time visiting them, learning about the environment in which they operate, the services they offer and, of course, the processes they undertake. We cannot stress too much the crucial nature of this evaluation.
Our criteria for selection are focused in three areas:
The working environment provided for the individual craftsmen. The provision of opportunities for professional training and development as well as of working conditions appropriate to allow the expertise of the employees to flourish should be such that it will ensure that the ethos of the business will be a lasting one.
The environmental impact of the company’s activities should be at the forefront of its thinking as should the importance of continually seeking ways of reducing any such impact.
The attention to quality and the striving for excellence of the responsible manufacturer which truly values the craftsmanship of its workforce.
PEQUIGNET has fulfilled these three criteria with success.
A natural light, cleanliness, a quiet space and an specific treated air are essential for watchmakers to make a perfect work.
The atmosphere is serene and studious. It is a synequanone requirement when they are working so thin and small components.
Just like the workshop, this department requires an optimal light and a spotlessly cleanliness. The air treatment in the room was specifically designed to minimize the dust particles rate, just like the workshop.
This machine can zoom almost 400 times the initial size of a component to reach the precision of a ten-thousandth millimeter. Any ordered piece must go through this machine to be sure that the specification has been well respected.
We observe in this picture that the component on the screen is measured in ten-thousandths millimeter, or 4 decimal places. The millimeter was the chosen unit!
The calibers are checked in 6 positions: Horizontal Up, Horizontal Down, Vertical Up, Vertical Down, Vertical Left, Vertical Right. Tolerance does not exceed -10 seconds / +10 seconds per day.
This machine is used to place perfectly hands on Royale watches.
The new manufacturing watch ROYAL 300 ensures water resistance to 300 meters deep.
The new diving watch, named ROYAL 300, ensures water resistance to 300 meters deep. This machine is dedicated to validate the resistance.
